Cask #1: Kilchoman Ruby Port Octave

It all begins here, with our cracking Ruby Port Octave from Islay’s only single farm distillery. Founded in 2005, Kilchoman was the first new distillery to be built on Islay in over 124 years. Anthony Wills, Kilchoman Founder, set out to resurrect the grass roots tradition of farm distilling, and their 100% Islay range represents the revival of those traditions. Kilchoman is a distillery where the responsibility for quality and consistency is not outsourced but completed on-site with skill, care and attention to detail.

Cask #2: Ardnahoe Ex-Bourbon Quarter Cask

Our second outing comes from Islay’s newest distillery, Ardnahoe, in the form of an Ex-Bourbon Quarter Cask that we anticipate will rest for well over a decade. With a family background in the whisky business dating back to the 1940s, Stewart Laing and his sons Andrew and Scott formed Glasgow-based Hunter Laing & Co. Ltd as a blender and bottler of scotch whisky in 2013 and began distilling their own spirit in 2018 with the opening of Ardnahoe on the Northeast side of the island.
